The exhibition is seen as a manifesto that encourages the idea of listening as activism and is conceived as a single installation with eight interlocking and overlapping multi-screen sound and time-based works. Bodies of water are a central motif in Akomfrah’s exhibition and form a connective tissue that holds the many layered visual and sonic narratives together. Together with the sonic, Akomfrah explores the role of water in understanding our world and holding memory.<br/>Open-ended in structure, the exhibition is reflective of the artist’s abiding interest in non-linear forms of storytelling and collage. I cannot bring it to you,' the umpire said. <br/><br/>Furious, Moutet went off on a lengthy rant about all the other refreshments on offer at the Madrid Open and finished by sarcastically saying: 'Am I asking for caviar?' <br/><br/>The Frenchman was eventually offered a coffee, but not by the officials. A spectator handed Moutet a cup over the railings, generating an amused applause from members of the Madrid crowd. <br/><br/>Moments later, the umpire could be heard calling for security to remove the fan.<br/><br/>At 5-5 in the decisive tiebreak, Moutet incredibly lost control of his racket after serving and ended up losing the point, left with nothing but his feet to swipe at Shang's return.<br/><br/>Moutet, who has fast become one of the most controversial players on the men's circuit, previously demanded for a 1-liter bottle of Pepsi during an Argentina Open qualifier in February.<br/><br/>On this occasion, the 25-year-old star was granted his request and later refused to be treated by the tournament physiotherapist after the match.<br/><br/>In January 2022, Moutet was disqualified from Adelaide International for insulting and swearing at a chair umpire.<br/><br/>And two years prior at an exhibition organised by French tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou, the athlete lost his temper and kicked a racket into the stands before punching the wall at the back of the court.<br/><br/>During the same competition, Moutet labeled Stefanos Tsitsipas' father Apostolos 'stupid' for talking while he was trying to serve.<br/><br/>'You're not allowed to talk. I don't have any problem with Stefanos, who is a good guy, but his father is stupid and everyone knows it,' Moutet said, back in 2020.")

The artist transforms the Canada Pavilion by way of a site- specific sculptural installation on the building’s interior and exterior, turning it into a large-scale tableau. Shapes shift, dissolving distinctions between inside and outside. As one moves through the coil-like architecture, it unfolds, multiplying perspectives. The installation principally consists of conterie (seed beads), historically employed as both currency and items of exchange. Conterie were dispersed globally from the Venetian island of Murano and incorporated into various material cultures. Kiwanga uses these tiny glass units to construct the monumental out of the minute, each bead acting as a witness to past transactions that changed the socioeconomic landscape of the sixteenth century and beyond. The work addresses the often-destructive history of commerce and how the trade of these beads shaped the world. Other materials related to the trade of conterie are also included. They rise from the pavilion’s floor onto the walls and spill out into the courtyard. As they meet the beads, they formalise a place of exchange, prompting reflection on issues of value, aesthetics, and global economic relations.")
