I'm not an overnight success. <br/><br/>However there isn't enough ride or dies, or day 1 folks. Everyone wants to hop on the bandwagon day 400 and acted like they supported you the whole time, when they really didn't. This tough love from your girl might sound harsh, but I'm being for real with you. This same enthusiasm and energy needs to be a thing when a creative don't book the part, doesn't have a great day in business, even with a Youtuber who's starting out. This creative life ain't easy and it's not for everyone.<br/><br/>There needs to be cheering during the bad and ugly days too. Not just when you think there is something in it for you. Not just for the good days.It's not always pretty. There's not enough genuine energy or intentions out here.<br/><br/>Some of you went to school with me, you're not stupid. For a number of you, I'm the girl you took Tequila shots with?You were given the same life script I was. Go to school, graduate, get married, yadda. If you are following that and it makes you happy, great!!!! Or maybe you found out what I did. Listening to all that is not going to get me where I need to be. Listening to all that advice growing up made me the unhappiest I've ever been. I cut out my schools, my religion, my car I had at the time, everything. I rebelled. I do not mind being talked about by peers, mom friends or anyone, because living up to others expectations caused more harm to me than I care to admit. I'm very good at shutting out the excess noise. I took to heart the 5 regrets of the dying and ran with it.<br/><br/>When you go for it, you have to get used to being disliked by your peers. I will tell you I've been on the receiving end of nasty gossip throughout the years, because I didnt-don't want the same things my peers want. Then people you care about actually listen to that nonsense, and you have to cut them all out because they don't understand what you're trying to do. <br/><br/>I'm not a saint, a God, or Moses that parted the red sea. I went for it instead of trying to fit in the cliques or be liked. I decided a long time ago it's ok to be disliked, misunderstood, talked about like a dog and be lied on. I had a lot of periods where I distanced myself from people. (And after some of those messages I may do it again, WTF I'm no Youtube god. Omg)")

Can you root for someone's successes like it's your own, even if it means they get theirs before you get yours?...Can you clap for someone else until your time comes if called to do so?<br/><br/>I bring this up because I apply this a lot. I'm at the start of my journey. Sometimes it's a matter of finding your people where you can really blossom. (They are not worried about my Youtube channel over here, they got their own...their grass is greener, but I'm happy I got my own yard too. You can be happy for others, and still be a light in your own right at the same time. Take a lesson from Kelly Rowland and Miss Nigeria.) It can be done, but you can learn mindsets to not get intimidated by someone' successes, but to propel you to grow as a person. <br/><br/>People in our age group? We compare and compete with each other too much. It's ridiculous. The time you spend trying to keep up with the Joneses could be time you could spend growing as a person. The question is which path are you going to choose? <br/><br/>Being jealous or hating on someone is not going to serve you. Can you reframe your mindset to see someone's successes as an opportunity to learn and grow, to see how far you can get in your breakthrough? Instead of seeing someone's success as someone taking away from you (because trust me, no one is taking from you...they put in the work that most won't to live a life most don't).Maybe you secretly wish you could do the same things, or maybe you feel like they got theirs, and you haven't gotten yours, and it's being thrown up in your face. <br/><br/>Remember to not compare your day 1 to someone else's day 400. You never know what someone went through to get where they are today. If you can't be happy for someone, unpack and figure out why. Maybe their successes put a spotlight on your biggest insecurities....I will tell you, gossiping about someone, cutting someone, or talking negatively about someone who you think got ahead of you won't do it. Building your skills, finding your lane, finding your own talents, addressing those jealousies and insecurities and having blind faith will.<br/><br/>What's blind faith? Blind faith is believing you will be successful, even if it hasn't happened in real life, you have to learn how to believe in what you can't see.
