Shocking pictures show Manchester University’s 137-year-old museum daubed with blood-red paint - in the shadow of a pro-Palestine student camp.<br/><br/>The museum, which dates back to 1887, was heavily vandalized across its frontage with vibrant emulsion in the early hours of this morning (Monday).<br/><br/>Photos showed the university's ancient sandstone Queen’s Arch, designed by famed architect Alfred Waterhouse, was also daubed with the distinctive pigment.<br/><br/>No one has yet claimed responsibility for the damage, but Manchester University said it handed over CCTV footage to police who are now investigating the incident.<br/><br/>The defaced building is just opposite a large encampment of Pro-Palestine supporters, who are staging an occupation in solidarity with the war-ravaged nation.<br/><br/>The pro-Palestine demo - which started at uni campuses in the US - have recently sprung up at about a dozen universities across the UK, including Manchester.<br/><br/>Protestors say they're urging the institutions to fully disclose investments, cut academic ties with Israel and divest from businesses linked to Israel.<br/><br/>In November, the uni issued a statement denying it had any involvement with the Israeli defence sector.<br/><br/>A spokesperson said of today's vandalism: “In the early hours of the morning, 13 May, the University and Manchester Museum were subject to an act of criminal vandalism. <br/><br/>“If you are coming on to campus today, you may see that there has been some criminal damage primarily to the Manchester Museum and Queens Arch, with paint sprayed over part of the building early this morning. <br/><br/>“We have CCTV footage of the incident and are working with Greater Manchester Police who are investigating the incident. <br/><br/>\

_survey-reveals-how-female-small-business-owners-measure-success.webp "One in four female small business owners has taken a pay cut in the past year, according to new research.<br/><br/>The survey of 1,000 female small business owners examined how their experience has shifted in the past year and found that the down economy has forced a quarter of these business owners to cut their own pay to keep their businesses afloat.<br/><br/>For those small businesses that have been open for at least a year, many have also raised the price of their product or service (37%), and more than a quarter are actively seeking less expensive resources (27%).<br/><br/>Conducted by Talker Research for Office Depot, the survey found that 53% of female business owners said the past year has been the hardest for their business.<br/><br/>In 2023, respondents expressed challenges with funding (42%) and growing their business (30%), which continue to be the top struggles this year (39% and 30% respectively).<br/><br/>Experiencing fatigue was more of a pain point last year (23%), while marketing is proving to be a greater challenge this year (25%).<br/><br/>However, hard work has paid off for many female small business owners this year, allowing them to reach their 2023 goals: growing profit (goal of 59%, achieved by 26%), gaining more customers (goal of 53%, achieved by 41%) and expanding their business (goal of 28%, achieved by 12%).<br/><br/>And to keep the momentum going, respondents predict they’ll continue to uplevel and succeed through continued revenue growth (63%), gaining more customers (54%) and business expansion (27%). <br/><br/>But success is also about a lot more than dollars and cents. Twenty-one percent of respondents said success is all about making a positive impact in their community and a fifth (21%) included innovation as a success marker.<br/><br/>And while the next year looks to be more positive for female small business owners, there will still be challenges to overcome, with inflation (39%) and funding (25%) serving as the top concerns.<br/><br/>To overcome these challenges, female SBOs are throwing themselves into their work more often — but how much is too much?<br/><br/>Work-life balance improvements have slowed by 15% since last year, as only this year, 58% said their work-life balance has improved since becoming a business owner, compared to 73% who said the same last year.<br/><br/>Women surveyed feel they need to choose between their family and their profession multiple times every month, while one in eight feel this way every week.<br/><br/>And overall, 42% said being a business owner has made it more difficult to balance their outside work responsibilities.<br/><br/>To better balance their work and family life, those surveyed are committed to “cutting back on working hours,” “taking time for quiet reflection” and “being willing to take a day off as necessary.”<br/><br/>For respondents who set up their business in the last year, top reasons include wanting to be one’s own boss (59%), deciding to pursue a passion or hobby (46%) and drive to put an idea into action (41%).")

The film was produced by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Gauri Khan, Renu Ravi Chopra, and Hiroo Yash Johar and directed by Abhay Chopra. The makers of the film disclosed that the film will have a different climax than the original film Ittefaq (1969). This 2017 mysterious thriller stars Sidharth Malhotra, Akshaye Khanna, and Sonakshi Sinha. Clear cut editing by Nitin Baid and adept cinematography by Michal Luka makes it a watchable movie. It was released on 3 November 2017 and was distributed by AA Films. The music was composed by Tanishk Bagchi. The film was made on a budget of ₹29 crores and it collected ₹ 56.26 crores at the box office. The Censor Board has categorized the movie under UA certification and occupies a screen time of 107 minutes. The film has a non-stop schedule and was completed in 50 days.<br/>Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan have come together to bring to us a brand new Ittefaq in their 10th collaboration. A remake of the 1969 film Ittefaq, directed by Yash Chopra, the film has Sidharth Malhotra stepping into the shoes of Rajesh Khanna, Sonakshi Sinha in Nanda’s character and Akshaye Khanna as a cop played by Iftekhar in the original. The trailers promised an edge of the seat drama for all those who haven’t seen the original. But what about those who already have? I was really looking forward to find out what’s new in Sidharth-Sonakshi’s Ittefaq.<br/>One rainy night in Mumbai, two murders, two versions, two suspects, one truth. UK based novelist Vikram Sethi (Sidharth) is a prime suspect in two murders. One, of his wife Catherine and another of Maya’s (Sonakshi) husband Shekhar. While he has been pleading not guilty, Maya has been accusing him of killing her husband. For investigating officer Dev (Akshaye), both are suspects till he unearths the truth and finds Vikram’s motive behind killing Shekhar. Both Sidharth and Maya’s versions of the night when it all happened are believable, leaving you confused about who the real killer is. Are they really innocent or is one of them lying? Could there be a third person who’s actually committed the crime? Does the police truly want to nab the killer or just close this high profile case ASAP? Are these two murders on the same night, just hours away from each other an Ittefaq or have a connection?<br/>")
