Description:
In January 2021 I was able to get to the island of Lamu in Kenya on an assignment, and while there I was keen to photograph the Massai who guard the local houses and produce colourful beadwork to sell to tourists. I had worked with these two before and I wanted to have an outdoor studio shoot with a fabric backdrop to catch them while performing their ritual jumping dance under the dappled light in the gardens of Fatuma's Tower where we were staying.nnnMy thanks to Angelika who owns and manages
